Join Our Heart Team! Looking to make a real difference in patients’ lives? Our busy MaineHealth Cardiology - Rockport | MaineHealth practice is seeking a caring and skilled Medical Assistant to support providers, deliver compassionate care, and help patients feel at ease every step of the way.

Responsibilities

• Supports providers in delivering compassionate care
• Delivers patient care services in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Assists with administrative tasks related to patient care
• Ensures patient comfort and satisfaction

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED preferred
• One year of experience as a Medical Assistant or 6 months of experience and certification required
• Current AAMA, NHA, AMT, or NCCT certification preferred or achieved within one year of eligibility
• Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date
• A NH Med Tech License, or NH EMT and National Registry EMT license is required for those positions located in New Hampshire

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited vocational institution or community college in Medical Assisting with 160 hours of clinical experience completed
• Completion of an Adult Education Medical Assistant program and 6 months of clinical experience in a practice setting
• 1 year of clinical experience in a multi-provider practice setting (equivalent experience will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis)
