About the role

The Marketing Specialist leads the development and execution of advanced, data-driven marketing strategies for Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare. This role requires expertise in both digital and traditional marketing, with a focus on leveraging analytics to optimize campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Develops annual marketing plans, ensuring strategic alignment, timely execution, and effective budget management across assigned service areas.
  • Led the day-to-day coordination and execution of marketing initiatives, driving both strategic direction and creative development to deliver impactful, outcome-focused campaigns.
  • Maintains oversight of paid search and paid social media advertising campaigns, creating dedicated landing pages to engage target audiences.
  • Collaborates with internal teams to support sponsorship initiatives and event planning.
  • Works with communications, marketing, and web team members to ensure cohesive execution across messaging, audience targeting, and digital experience.
  • Represents the marketing department in both in-person and virtual client meetings, emphasizing relationship building and clear communication.
  • Reviews marketing content for accuracy, clarity, and brand consistency, ensuring all materials and marketing activities meet healthcare regulatory requirements.
  • Prepares performance reports and presentations to share campaign results, strategic insights, and marketing impact with system stakeholders.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested, contributing to the broader success of the marketing team and organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration/Management, or Communications.
  • Experience: 3-5 years in business, marketing, communications, nonprofit management, development, or related fields, with 1-3 years in a healthcare environment preferred.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of core marketing principles, proven track record of leveraging business intelligence and market research, familiarity with emerging trends in marketing, and proficiency in multi-channel marketing.
  • Skills: Proficient in multi-channel marketing, detail-oriented with proven project management skills, ability to drive cross-functional collaboration, and strong copywriting and editing abilities for digital content, email campaigns, and printed promotional materials.

Qualifications

  • Ability to model appropriate behavior as exemplified in MLH Mission, Vision, and Values.
  • Physical Demands: Light work, requiring occasional and frequent exertion of up to 25 lbs. and 10 lbs., respectively, of force; close visual acuity; occasional travel for in-person meetings and events.
