Responsibilities

  • Create engaging and informative written content for blogs, social media posts, email campaigns, newsletters, and website copy.
  • Manage BlackSky social media channels, including calendaring and planning, content creation, and engagement management.
  • Capture visual content in BlackSky's offices and reports to the Senior Director, Marketing.
  • Analyze content performance using analytics tools to track engagement and suggest improvements.
  • Collaborate with the design team to ensure content is visually appealing and aligned with brand guidelines.
  • Create graphics and visuals in alignment with brand guidelines for use across digital channels.
  • Auxiliary in developing editorial calendars and campaign timelines.
  • Edit and proofread content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, content marketing best practices, and competitor digital content strategies.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, English, or Business (or equivalent experience).
  • At least 4 years of experience in content marketing, corporate marketing, or digital marketing.
  • Previous experience managing corporate social media accounts for B2B or B2G.
  • Outstanding communication skills with the capacity to explain and translate complex technology concepts into simple narratives.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly for photo editing.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, even when managing multiple deadlines.
  • An understanding of basic design concepts.
  • Proven ability to work with and influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media insights) to measure content effectiveness.
  • Strong research skills and willingness to take initiative on projects.

Qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligibility for required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Pay

The anticipated salary range for candidates in Seattle, WA is $85,000-95,000 per year. The final compensation package offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on specific background and education. BlackSky is a multi-state employer, and this pay scale may not reflect salary ranges in other states or locations outside of Seattle, WA.
