About the role
Manages daily operations of the program, ensures compliance with applicable regulatory agencies, utilizes resources to plan and predict rehabilitation patient outcomes and quality indicators, supports teamwork and interdisciplinary care, coordinates and leads programmatic meetings, and reviews and shares outcomes with the team.
Responsibilities
- Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with organizational values.
- Responsible for local efforts to achieve desired outcomes in the building and alongside staff.
- Implements programmatic operational and business initiatives as directed by the program director.
- Participates in Daily Admissions call and Daily Safety Huddle.
- Manages daily operations of the program, supporting the team in facilitating discharges, lightening rounds, team conferences, and family meetings.
- Under the direction of the Program Director, responsible for local outcomes such as discharge to community, safety, and patient experience; presents at ROQUE and supports team members in understanding and presenting data.
- Manages Utilization Review to ensure appropriate length of stay while maintaining high-quality care.
- Continuously monitors program compliance for TJC, CARF, CMS, and other applicable regulations.
- Conducts tours for families and caregivers of potential patients.
- Provides onsite support to program staff and fosters team relationships and interdisciplinary care.
- May be responsible for hiring and supporting key positions.
- Plans and oversees community activities in collaboration with the Program Director, including advocacy groups, education, and marketing.
- Participates in enterprise initiatives such as the Enterprise Falls Committee.
- Provides support to the Program Director as needed.
- Establishes mutually beneficial relationships with program counterparts at other sites.
- Coordinates and leads onsite programmatic meetings alongside the Program Director, ensuring systematic communication with program team members.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (required).
- 5 years in a leadership position in the post-acute sector overseeing patient care programs.
- Working knowledge of EMR with a minimum of 5+ years in area of specialty.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree (preferred).
- MBA or MHA (preferred).
Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Physical Demands
- Lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
- Frequent sitting and standing.
- Frequent keyboard use.
- May require kneeling, bending, squatting, and performing CPR (role-specific activities).
