About the Role
This employee directly supervises Service Representatives, Healthcare Specialists, and Customer Service Representatives.
Responsibilities
- Interview, hire, train, and supervise quality candidates for service representatives.
- Assist with employee files, including coordination of employee benefits and evaluations for service representatives.
- Interact with medical professionals in the community.
- Implement safety programs and maintain records in compliance with all Federal, State, and Local regulations applicable to DOT and FDA.
- Stay knowledgeable of Medicare, insurance rules and regulations, community resources, and medical equipment availability.
- Oversee the CHAP effort for the center.
- Organize and focus on special programs.
- Control inventory and purchasing of equipment and supplies.
- Grow the customer base through excellence in customer service.
- Ensure the profitability of the center by implementing and directing cost controls.
- Promote effective written and verbal communications.
- Maintain a fleet of leased vehicles, including establishing a routine preventive maintenance program and follow-up of major maintenance.
- Perform record keeping and inspections of vehicles.
- Ensure the quality and safe delivery of medical equipment to patients.
- Perform equipment set-ups in the customer's home, primarily oxygen equipment such as concentrators and reservoirs.
- Perform on-call duties on a rotational basis, including responding to call-outs at night and weekends to provide services normally handled by a service representative.
- Serve as a backup when other employees are out due to absenteeism.
