About the Role
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional nursing care to residents of all ages in an assisted living setting, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician.
Responsibilities
- Assess residents' health status and administer medications or treatments as ordered.
- Perform testing to evaluate residents' conditions and respond to emergent situations.
- Ensure residents' health, comfort, and safety, and contribute to their overall care plans.
- Document resident interactions, care outcomes, and relevant observations.
- Support effective communication with residents, families, and healthcare team members.
- Educate residents on self-care and prevention strategies.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to clinical standards and protocols.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program leading to licensure as an LPN.
- Current licensure as a practical nurse in relevant states.
- Preferred experience in long-term care, sub-acute, or medical/surgical settings.
- Strong communication skills, ability to work collaboratively, and attention to resident safety.
Schedule
The role involves working 12-hour night shifts on a part-time basis.
