About the role
Provide professional nursing care in an assisted living setting.
Responsibilities
- Assess residents and administer medications or treatments as ordered
- Monitor residents' health status through testing and data evaluation
- Respond effectively to emergent situations and recognize potential problems
- Ensure residents' safety, comfort, and well-being
- Document care, medication, behavior, activity, and dietary interactions
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and maintain effective working relationships
- Counsel residents and families on prevention and treatment plans
- Support resident education to promote self-care
- Perform additional related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program leading to licensure as an LPN
- Current practical nurse licensure in applicable state(s)
- Preferred experience in long-term care, sub-acute, or medical/surgical settings
- Ability to work within the full scope of nursing practice, demonstrating competency and knowledge
- Effective communication, confidentiality, and teamwork skills
