About the role

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for residents of all ages in assisted living settings under supervision.
• Assess residents and administer medications or treatments as ordered.
• Perform testing to evaluate resident status and respond to emergent situations.
• Ensure residents' health, comfort, and safety.
• Document interactions, care outcomes, and resident progress.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and support effective team communication.
• Counsel residents, families, and advocates on prevention and treatment plans.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to age-specific standards and care plans.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program leading to LPN licensure.
• Current licensure in the practicing state.
• Preferred experience in long-term, sub-acute, or medical/surgical care.

Skills

• Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
• Ability to recognize problems and respond appropriately.
• Knowledge of resident education principles.
