LPN - Cardiac Surgery - Full Time

About the Role

Provide care for pre- and post-operative cardiac surgery patients, manage cardiac dysrhythmias requiring IV therapy, and support vascular surgery and general medical overflow. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including educators, PCA/PCTs, case managers, respiratory therapists, dietitians, PT/OT, and speech therapists.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care to pre- and post-operative cardiac surgery patients.
• Manage cardiac dysrhythmias that require IV therapy.
• Support vascular surgery and general medical overflow units.
• Earn ACLS credentials and develop advanced clinical skills for cardiac and vascular patient care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (educators, PCA/PCTs, case managers, respiratory therapists, dietitians, PT/OT, and speech therapists).

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program or equivalent education and licensure.
• Current LPN license in accordance with state requirements.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, stand, walk, and perform various physical tasks.

Qualifications & Skills

• Certifications may include ACLS, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., BLS, or unit-specific certifications; some may be required within specific timeframes.
