LPN - Cardiac Surgery - Full Time

Role Overview: This position involves working as an LPN in a cardiac surgery unit, providing care for pre- and post-operative cardiac patients, vascular surgery patients, and those with cardiac dysrhythmias requiring IV therapy. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including educators, PCA/PCTs, case managers, respiratory therapists, dieticians, PT/OT, and speech therapists. Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality nursing care, support patient recovery, and build clinical skills specific to cardiac and vascular populations. Maintain certifications such as ACLS, BLS, and other unit-specific credentials as required. Ensure physical demands such as lifting, standing, and mobility are met to perform duties effectively. Qualifications & Skills: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program or equivalent experience, with a valid LPN license in the relevant state. Certifications in ACLS, BLS, PALS, PEARS, or S.T.A.B.L.E. may be required, with some certifications needed within specified timeframes. Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform physical tasks like reaching, bending, and kneeling.
