LPN - Cardiac Surgery - Full Time

About the role

This role involves providing care to cardiac surgery, vascular, and medical overflow patients in a 24-bed unit. Nurses collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including educators, PCA/PCTs, case managers, respiratory therapists, dieticians, PT/OT, and speech therapists. The role emphasizes building clinical skills and earning credentials like ACLS.

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program or equivalent experience with licensure.
• Current LPN license in the state of practice, meeting all Board of Nursing requirements.
• Certifications such as ACLS, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., BLS, or LPN-IV may be required based on unit needs.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform physical tasks like reaching, bending, and kneeling.
