LPN - Cardiac Surgery - Full Time

Role: Provide nursing care for cardiac surgery, vascular, and medical overflow patients in a 24-bed unit. Responsibilities: Support pre and post-operative patients, manage cardiac dysrhythmias requiring IV therapy, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including educators, PCA/PCTs, case managers, respiratory therapists, dietitians, PT/OT, and speech therapists. Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program or equivalent experience with valid licensure. Must obtain and maintain a current LPN license per state requirements. Certifications: May require ACLS, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., BLS, or LPN-IV certification, with some certifications needed within specific timeframes or as dictated by the unit. Physical Skills: Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform tasks requiring gripping, reaching, bending, kneeling, twisting, and squatting.
