Licensed Vocational Nurse - Clinic

About the Role

Provides patient care under the supervision of physicians or registered nurses in a clinical setting, adhering to established standards and practices.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic patient care tasks such as obtaining vital signs, weighing patients, and collecting specimens, including phlebotomy when required.
• Assists providers with examinations, treatments, procedures, and patient flow management.
• Handles communication tasks, including answering calls, recording messages, scheduling tests, and assisting with medication refills.
• Administers medications and immunizations per provider orders.
• Maintains cleanliness and restocking of exam rooms and equipment, following infection control protocols.
• Completes clerical duties such as locating patient charts, filing, and completing routine forms.
• Participates in meetings, training, and performs additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited practical or vocational nursing program.
• Licensed LVN in the relevant state or a compact license.
• Current BLS certification.
• Competent in routine lab procedures and sterile techniques.
