Licensed Vocational Nurse - Clinic

About the role

Provides clinical care under supervision, supporting physicians and registered nurses in a clinic setting.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic patient care tasks such as obtaining vital signs, weighing patients, and collecting specimens, including phlebotomy.
• Assists providers with examinations, treatments, and procedures, and manages patient flow.
• Answers and records phone messages, schedules tests, and assists with pre-certifications.
• Documents patient information accurately and supports medication refills.
• Administers medications and immunizations as ordered by providers.
• Maintains cleanliness and restocking of exam rooms and equipment, adhering to sterile techniques and protocols.
• Performs routine clerical duties like chart retrieval, filing, and completing forms.
• Attends training sessions and performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate of an accredited practical or vocational nursing program.
• Licensed LVN in the state of employment or a compact state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong communication, organizational, and clinical skills.
