About the Role

Provides nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Physician, focusing on patient data collection, monitoring, and documentation. Performs licensed patient care functions and offers patient/family education.

Responsibilities

  • Delivers individualized care based on a plan developed by healthcare professionals, addressing physical, emotional, cultural, spiritual, psychosocial, and educational needs.
  • Monitors and documents patient vital signs, drains, dressings, lab results, and responses.
  • Communicates patient status, activities performed, and changes to the healthcare team.
  • Maintains confidentiality and accuracy of medical records.
  • Collects and documents data using specialized equipment and orients patients and families to routines.
  • Administers and documents medications as per policy.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Completion of an approved LPN program recognized by the State Board of Nursing.
  • Minimum of one year LPN experience or equivalent training such as residency programs or LPN to RN transition programs.
  • Current LPN license recognized by NCSBN Compact or state licensing authority.
  • If obtaining RN licensure, must notify management; temporary acceptance of RN license is possible.

Skills

Knowledge and skills are basic or as required for LPN practice.
