About the role
Provides direct and indirect nursing care to employees at client sites, supporting occupational health and wellness programs. Works independently within established policies and medical directives, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Triages injuries, administers first aid, and facilitates evaluations by medical providers.
- Performs health assessments, documents findings, reviews screening results, and manages follow-up care.
- Participates in substance abuse testing, collecting specimens, monitoring results, and reporting outcomes.
- Conducts occupational health testing such as audiograms, vision, and pulmonary function tests.
- Maintains accurate records and manages inventory of supplies and educational materials.
- Supports employee health, safety, and wellness programs and contributes to policy development.
- Assists with clinical duties across multiple locations and provides backup support for workers’ compensation and testing.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Nursing.
- Three years of nursing experience or two years in Occupational Medicine nursing; urgent/emergency care background preferred.
- Current RN license recognized in the practice state, with CPR/BLS certification; occupational health certification preferred.
- Knowledge of workers’ compensation and case management processes is advantageous.
