Licensed Practical Nurse - PRN, Medical/Surgical Nursing, Day

Responsibilities

• Collects patient data
• Monitors and documents patient responses
• Administers medications
• Performs delegated patient care tasks
• Maintains confidentiality
• Orients patients and families
• Communicates patient status updates

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited LPN program
• At least one year of LPN experience or equivalent training
• Holds a current LPN license recognized by the NCSBN Compact or the state of practice

Skills

• Knowledge of patient monitoring
• Knowledge of documentation
• Knowledge of medication administration

About the Role

This is a non-management role reporting to a supervisor or manager, based at a medical/surgical unit in a hospital setting, providing nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Physician.
