Eventide on Eighth Care Center is seeking a Part-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for Night Shift (NOC) care. Set 12-hour shifts from 6:30 pm to 7:00 am, with every third holiday rotation. Eventide will reimburse the fee to acquire a border state license for North Dakota nurses upon hire.

Pay

  • Estimated starting pay range: $29 - $32.48 per hour, based on qualifications, experience, and location
  • $5.00 per hour night shift differential
  • $2.00 per hour weekend shift differential

About the Role

The Charge Nurse ensures the highest degree of nursing care in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, as well as Eventide’s philosophy, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Assess residents’ needs and health status through physical assessments, observations, and interviews continuously
  • Provide individual attention to encourage residents’ ability to maintain or attain the highest physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being
  • Observe and follow residents’ plans of care, updating and making changes as necessary
  • Administer medications and treatments, monitoring effectiveness
  • Provide direct nursing care to residents as needed, following established policies and procedures
  • Comply with rules and regulations from the Minnesota or North Dakota Department of Health and the Center for Medicare/Medicaid services
  • Document accurately in residents’ electronic medical records
  • Assist in orientation and training of new team members
  • Report resident needs, problems, and observations to the Charge Nurse and/or attending physician
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels for scheduled shifts and address staffing inadequacies
  • Monitor and support subordinate staff, including participation in the disciplinary process
  • Ensure subordinate staff complete work thoroughly and accurately within scheduled shifts
  • Provide information, education, and support to residents and their families
  • Communicate residents’ needs to care staff and interact with physicians and other healthcare facilities as needed
  • Update nursing skills and knowledge through in-services, continuing education, and staff meetings
  • Coordinate and participate in resident care conferences, communicating effectively with families
  • Report incidents or evidence of abuse, neglect, or violation of residents’ rights promptly
  • Manage electronic timecards daily
  • Occasionally assist with other tasks as needed to support quality resident care

Requirements

  • Active MN LPN license or ability to obtain upon hire
  • Experience in Long Term Care preferred but not required
