Eventide on Eighth is hiring for a Part-Time LPN to work day (12 hours) or PM (8 hours) shifts: 6:30a–7p or 2:30p–11p, with every third weekend and holiday rotation. Eventide will reimburse the fee to obtain a border-state license upon hire for ND nurses. A $2.00/hour weekend shift differential is added to the base wage.
About the Role
The Charge Nurse ensures the highest degree of nursing care is provided in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, as well as Eventide’s philosophy, policies, and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assess residents’ needs and health status through physical assessments, observations, and interviews continuously.
- Provide individual attention to encourage each resident’s ability to maintain or attain the highest physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.
- Observe and follow residents’ plans of care, updating and making appropriate changes as needed (including interdisciplinary care plans, physician orders, and C.N.A/NA-R care plans).
- Administer medications and treatments, monitoring both for effectiveness.
- Provide direct nursing care to residents as needed, following established nursing policies, procedures, and standards.
- Comply with rules and regulations set forth by the Minnesota or North Dakota Department of Health and the Centers for Medicare/Medicaid Services.
- Document accurately in residents’ electronic medical records according to established policies and standards.
- Assist in orientation/training of new team members.
- Report resident needs, problems, and observations regarding residents’ conditions to the Charge Nurse and/or attending physician.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels for scheduled shifts and correct inadequate staffing appropriately.
- Monitor activities and functions of subordinate staff, including participating in the disciplinary process.
- Ensure subordinate staff complete work responsibilities thoroughly and accurately within scheduled shifts and according to established policies.
- Provide information, education, and support for assigned residents and their families.
- Communicate residents’ needs to resident care staff in the unit as appropriate.
- Interact with physicians and other health care facilities as needed.
- Update nursing skills and knowledge by attending in-services, continuing education programs, and staff meetings.
- Coordinate and participate in resident care conferences, communicating effectively with families.
- Assume responsibility for promptly reporting incidents or evidence of abuse, neglect, or violation of residents’ rights per policy.
- Manage electronic timecards daily.
- Occasionally assist with other tasks beyond listed duties to support quality resident care.
Requirements
- Active MN LPN license or ability to obtain one upon hire.
- Experience in Long Term Care preferred but not required.
Pay
Competitive estimated pay range of $29 – $32.48 per hour for LPNs, based on qualifications, experience, and location. Shift premiums and differentials are available for select positions.
