The Department of Geology at Cal Poly Humboldt seeks to hire a Lecturer to support our dynamic and diverse academic community.
Responsibilities
- Teach courses in Geology and related fields
- Support students through hands-on learning experiences and academic advising
- Engage in research and professional development activities
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to promote equity and inclusion
Requirements
- A minimum of a M.A. or M.S. in Geoscience or related field
- Successful teaching experience
- Preferred qualifications include a PhD in Geosciences or related field with emphasis on assignment topics
Qualifications
- PhD in Geosciences or related field with emphasis on topics of proposed assignment
- Academic or professional work related to the assignment topic
- Expertise in assignment topic
Skills
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Benefits
Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience. The salary schedule is available based on the following ranges:
- Lecturer A: $5,507 - $6,677
- Lecturer B: $6,221 - $13,224
- Lecturer C: $6,825 - $14,523
Pay
Dependent on qualifications and experience.
Schedule
As needed.
