ITAM Analyst III – Software Asset Management (SAM/HAM Hybrid)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced ITAM Analyst III with strong Software Asset Management (SAM) and Hardware Asset Management (HAM) experience. This is a long-term, full-time contract position based in Reston, VA with a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities

• Manage software assets across the full lifecycle
• Track licenses, entitlements, subscriptions, renewals, and contracts
• Perform license reconciliation, compliance reviews, and utilization analysis
• Support renewals, audits, true-ups, reclamation, and cost optimization
• Maintain SAM data, reports, software catalogs, and CMDB alignment
• Support vendor governance and cross-functional ITAM initiatives
• Provide onsite HAM support including inventory, hardware moves, shipping/receiving, and device recovery

Requirements

• 5+ years of ITAM/SAM experience
• Flexera experience
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Experience with software licensing and asset lifecycle management
