About the role
This position involves fabricating complex high-quality furniture and other wood-surfaced subassemblies for installation in business aircraft. Tasks include parts replacements or repairs, basic electrical system installations, and general mechanical applications. Modifications, refurbishments, and fabrication of aircraft cabinets are the main functions.
Responsibilities
- Perform general mechanical functions on aircraft cabinets and related systems.
- Remove and install cabinets, modify, re-laminate, veneer, or fabricate new cabinets.
- Ability to perform minor modifications.
- Maintain and repair shop facility, equipment, and tooling.
- Navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
- Cleanliness of shop and surroundings.
- Work independently when required.
- Communicate effectively (speaking, writing, reading) in English.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
Requirements
- A High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in aviation, auto, RV, Marine, or related fields.
- Close supervision and constant check-ins on work performance.
- General supervision and instructions.
- No supervision and can act as a trainer or mentor.
- Exclusive knowledge in all areas of the job.
- Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable transportation to work.
- Follow Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.
- Work with others in a professional manner.
- Read and comprehend various documents.
- Plan and organize procedures and operations.
- Supervise other technicians when required.
- Work with minimal supervision when required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2-6 years of experience in aviation, auto, RV, Marine, or related fields.
- Full knowledge of the job and complete understanding of detailed aspects.
- Master Tech level with exclusive knowledge in all areas of the job.

- Ability to perform minor modifications.

- Physical strength to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Physical stamina for routine walking, bending, squatting, and sitting.

Pay
The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $20-$35. Additional compensation in the form of a shift differential will be provided if the employee is assigned to an alternate shift.
Schedule
Varies based on company needs, but typically includes 5x8, 4x10, and 3x12 schedules.
