About the role

This is a full-time on-site position at West Star Aviation in Perryville, MO. West Star is a rapidly growing MRO provider committed to employee growth and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate complex high-quality furniture and subassemblies for business aircraft
• Perform parts replacements or repairs
• Install basic electrical systems
• Modify, refurbish, and fabricate aircraft cabinets
• Complete daily turnover sheets
• Maintain and repair shop facility, equipment, and tooling
• Navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases
• Communicate effectively (speaking, writing, reading) in English
• Perform general mechanical functions on aircraft cabinets and related systems
• May supervise other technicians

Requirements

• A High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in aviation, auto, RV, Marine, or related fields
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Routine walking, bending, squatting, sitting, and standing
• Climb ladders and stairs
• Work independently and under supervision
• Understand and follow FAA guidelines and company safety rules
• Work in a customer-oriented manner
• Reliable transportation to work

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 0-2 years of experience in aviation, auto, RV, Marine, or related fields for Tech I
• 2-4 years of experience for Tech II
• 4-6 years of experience for Tech III
• 6+ years of experience for Master Tech

• Basic computer skills
• Ability to perform minor modifications

• Physical stamina for lifting and manual labor
