About the role

This position is available for Interior Cabinet Technicians at West Star Aviation. We are seeking individuals with a high school diploma or equivalent, and 0-6 years of experience in aviation, auto, RV, Marine, or related fields. The role involves fabricating, repairing, and modifying aircraft cabinets and related systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform parts replacements or repairs
  • Install basic electrical systems
  • Modify, refurbish, and fabricate new cabinets
  • Complete daily turnover sheets
  • Maintain and repair shop facility, equipment, and tooling
  • Use basic computer skills to navigate training materials and databases
  • Cleanliness of shop and surroundings
  • Communicate effectively (speaking, writing, reading) in English
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • A High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in aviation, auto, RV, Marine, or related fields
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Routine walking, bending, squatting, sitting, and standing
  • Repetitive physical motions with arms and hands
  • Standing for long periods
  • Climb ladders and stairs
  • Work in small restricted areas
  • Understand and implement regulations and guidelines including OSHA, Hazmat, etc.
  • Work with others in a professional manner
  • Read and comprehend various documents
  • Plan and organize procedures and operations
  • Supervise other technicians when required
  • Work independently when required

  • Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Reliable transportation to work each day
  • Follow Federal Aviation Administration guidelines
  • Follow company and safety rules during performance of duties

Pay & Schedule

The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $20 - $35. Additional compensation in the form of a shift differential will be provided if the employee is assigned to an alternate shift.

Location

West Star Aviation offers full-time positions in multiple locations including Grand Junction, CO, and other strategic locations across the United States.
