About the role
This position is available for Interior Cabinet Technicians at West Star Aviation. We are seeking individuals with a high school diploma or equivalent, and 0-6 years of experience in aviation, auto, RV, Marine, or related fields. The role involves fabricating, repairing, and modifying aircraft cabinets and related systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform parts replacements or repairs
- Install basic electrical systems
- Modify, refurbish, and fabricate new cabinets
- Complete daily turnover sheets
- Maintain and repair shop facility, equipment, and tooling
- Use basic computer skills to navigate training materials and databases
- Cleanliness of shop and surroundings
- Communicate effectively (speaking, writing, reading) in English
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Requirements
- A High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in aviation, auto, RV, Marine, or related fields
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Routine walking, bending, squatting, sitting, and standing
- Repetitive physical motions with arms and hands
- Standing for long periods
- Climb ladders and stairs
- Work in small restricted areas
- Understand and implement regulations and guidelines including OSHA, Hazmat, etc.
- Work with others in a professional manner
- Read and comprehend various documents
- Plan and organize procedures and operations
- Supervise other technicians when required
- Work independently when required
Qualifications
- Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to perform under specific deadlines and time constraints
- Reliable transportation to work each day
- Follow Federal Aviation Administration guidelines
- Follow company and safety rules during performance of duties
- Maintain customer-oriented work habits
- Assist in major modification work as needed

Pay & Schedule
The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $20 - $35. Additional compensation in the form of a shift differential will be provided if the employee is assigned to an alternate shift.
