About the role

This position involves fabricating complex high-quality furniture and other wood-surfaced subassemblies for installation in business aircraft. Tasks include parts replacements or repairs, basic electrical system installation, and general mechanical applications. Modifications, refurbishment, and fabrication of aircraft cabinets are the primary functions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general mechanical functions on aircraft cabinets and related systems.
  • Remove and install cabinets.
  • Modify, re-laminate, veneer, or fabricate new cabinets.
  • Complete daily turnover sheets.
  • Maintain and repair shop facility, equipment, and tooling.
  • Navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
  • Cleanliness of shop and surroundings.
  • Communicate effectively (speaking, writing, reading) in English.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in aviation, auto, RV, Marine, or related fields.
  • Ability to perform minor modifications.
  • Basic computer skills for navigating electronic resources.
  • Physical requirements: lift up to 50 lbs, routine walking, bending, squatting, sitting, and standing.
  • Mental requirements: understanding and implementing regulations and guidelines, working with others professionally, planning and organizing procedures, and supervising other technicians.

Qualifications

  • Tech I: 0-2 years of experience in aviation, auto, RV, Marine, or related fields.
  • Tech II: 2-4 years of experience in aviation, auto, RV, Marine, or related fields.
  • Tech III: 4-6 years of experience in aviation, auto, RV, Marine, or related fields.
  • Master Tech: 6+ years of experience in aviation interiors.

Skills

Self-motivated, able to work under specific deadlines, and perform in a fast-paced environment. Must have reliable transportation and follow company and safety rules.

Pay

The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $20-$35, with additional compensation for shift differential. The range is just one component of the total compensation package, which also includes a Health Savings Account (HSA), flexible spending account (FSA), and employer contributions to the 401(k) plan.

Schedule

Weekly competitive and industry-leading pay means you are paid more often. The schedule varies, including 5x8, 4x10, and 3x12 shifts.
