Responsibilities
- Perform credit analysis and investigations as outlined in company policy and procedures.
- Communicate credit decisions (approvals, conditions, declines, or pending) to dealers based on lending authority.
- Support the business development team in building and strengthening dealership relations; recommend and/or develop new programs for dealerships.
- Join the business development team for in-person sales calls on occasion.
- Provide a high level of customer service, including quoting loan payoffs, contract figures, and dealer reserve information.
- Obtain missing information on credit applications in processing status.
- Handle dealership and customer issues and complaints.
- Investigate and support the business development team to resolve dealer inadequacies to protect the company’s assets.
- Actively cross-sell other company loan and deposit products/services; proactively contact dealerships to solicit business.
- Maintain proficient knowledge of and compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and internal controls; complete training requirements in a timely manner.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or directed.
- Provide assistance to the Indirect Lending Department and the company to help achieve annual goals.
Requirements
- Minimum of an Associate’s Degree required; B.S. or B.A. degree in a related field preferred.
- History of specialized training in sales and/or marketing.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Skills
- Strong sales, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and math skills.
- Thorough knowledge of indirect loan products and services; general knowledge of current lending regulations.
- Working knowledge of bank operations.
