In Home Health Care RN - Low Acuity Days - Part Time/Full Time

About the Role

Join a compassionate healthcare team as a Part-Time Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in pediatric homecare in Austin, TX. This role primarily involves weekend shifts with flexible weekday shifts available between 8AM-8PM.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care per care plans and physician orders
• Assess and monitor patient conditions, reporting changes promptly
• Document assessments, interventions, and responses accurately and timely
• Develop and update individualized nursing care plans
• Educate patients and families on disease management, self-care, and prevention
• Ensure infection control and compliance with all regulations

Requirements

• Active, unencumbered RN license in the practicing state (compact licenses transferable within 90 days)
• Current CPR certification and TB test (within 12 months)
• Preferred: six months of recent clinical experience; home health experience is a plus
• Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Reliable transportation and ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work in varied environments, including exposure to blood and bodily fluids
• Physical and mental agility to respond to emergency situations and perform patient repositioning
• Compliance with health requirements, vaccinations, and testing as per jurisdictional policies
