Responsibilities
- Development, implementation and maintenance of educational materials for HVAC product and services training.
- Scheduling, organizing, facilitation and delivery of classroom, virtual classroom, and on-the-job training for branch personnel and customers.
- Develop and update a variety of HVAC certification programs as necessary.
- Become certified trainer in vendor training programs (Kohler, Mitsubishi).
- Maintain HVAC training programs and recommend modifications based on effectiveness evaluations.
- Assess, measure, and enhance the performance of employees related to HVAC product lines.
- Respond to technical support requests from customers and TGG associates.
- Visit job sites with customers and vendors as needed.
- Track HVAC training activities, employee attendance, and progress.
- Manage and coordinate learning delivery through various mediums including personal facilitation, e-learning, vendor, and other educational organizations.
- Support the integration of company marketing concepts and strategies within the sales function and communicate these methods to branch staff.
- Attend client presentations with the outside sales team and branch managers to secure and generate new business.
- Identify plumbing and heating contractors interested in adding HVAC to their business strategy and collaborate with purchasing and branch staff to determine necessary HVAC products.
- Work with new hires and tenured employees to ensure the HVAC sales training program meets both current and future organizational needs.
- Stay informed about HVAC industry trends and continuously increase knowledge of HVAC products, local and federal requirements, technological advances, and strategies.
- Coordinate educational functions such as counter days for The Granite Group staff and customers.
- Ensure consistent adherence to company safety policies and practices.
- Use Wrightsoft to assist branches needing help with the program.
Qualifications
- Strong background in HVAC product and services training.
- Experience in developing and delivering classroom, virtual classroom, and on-the-job training.
- Certification in vendor training programs (Kohler, Mitsubishi).
- Ability to assess, measure, and enhance employee performance related to HVAC product lines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of Wrightsoft and ability to assist branches using the program.
