Responsibilities
- Development, implementation and maintenance of educational materials for HVAC product and services training.
- Scheduling, organizing, facilitation and delivery of classroom, virtual classroom, and on-the-job training for branch personnel and customers.
- Developing and updating a variety of HVAC certification programs as necessary.
- Become certified trainer in vendor training programs (Kohler, Mitsubishi).
- Maintain records of HVAC training activities and employee attendance and progress.
- Coordinate learning delivery through personal facilitation, e-learning, vendor, and other established educational organizations or professional development groups.
- Facilitate and support the integration of company marketing concepts and strategies within the sales function.
- Secure and generate new business and identify plumbing and heating contractors seeking to add HVAC to their business strategy.
- Collaborate with purchasing and branch staff to identify necessary HVAC products for the marketplace.
- Interface with new and tenured employees to address both current and future organizational needs regarding the HVAC sales training program.
- Stay updated on HVAC industry trends and continuously participate in increasing knowledge of HVAC products, local and federal requirements, technological advances, and strategies.
- Work with the VP of Marketing and manufacturers' representatives to organize counter days and other educational functions for The Granite Group staff and customers.
- Perform all duties in a safe manner and adhere to company safety policies.
- Assist branches with Wrightsoft as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong background in HVAC product and services training.
- Experience in developing and delivering classroom, virtual classroom, and on-the-job training.
- Certification in vendor training programs (Kohler, Mitsubishi).
- Knowledge of HVAC certification programs and ability to update them as necessary.
- Ability to maintain accurate records of training activities and employee progress.
- Experience coordinating learning delivery through various mediums.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and employees.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong understanding of HVAC industry trends and continuous learning capabilities.
- Familiarity with Wrightsoft to assist branches with the program.
