Human Services Case Manager. Bilingual English/Spanish Required

About the role

The Oregon Department of Human Services is seeking a bilingual Human Services Case Manager to support families transitioning into independence. The ideal candidate should have a strong commitment to serving vulnerable families and experience in human services.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered, strength-based practice to assist families in achieving independence through collaboration and partnership within the agency and the community.
• Engage families in various ways, including individual and family assessment, goal setting, and collaboration with other state agencies and community organizations.
• Determine eligibility for programs as necessary and negotiate coaching plans with adults in the home.
• Evaluate employability readiness, provide referrals, and motivate adults towards employment.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of employment services and community resources to meet the employment needs of families.
• Aid in crisis and safety planning for individuals experiencing domestic violence.
• Complete program eligibility and issue grant payments, as needed.
• Assist with supporting resources and services within the community.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record are required.
• Three years of human services related experience, or an Associate's degree in a Behavioral Science, Social Science, or a closely related field with two years of human services related experience, or a Bachelor's degree in any field with one year of human services related experience, or a Bachelor's degree in a Behavioral Science, Social Science, or a closely related field.

• Ability to explain technical information effectively to individuals and groups.

Qualifications

Pay

$5,554 - $7,386 per month.

Schedule

Full-time position with flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
