Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business leaders across Banyan Headquarters and North American Operating Companies to deliver strategic HR support aligned with business strategy and organizational goals.
- Translate business priorities into actionable HR initiatives impacting workforce planning, organizational design, talent development, and succession planning.
- Serve as a credible and trusted advisor on all HR matters, including employee relations, organizational effectiveness, leadership coaching, and cultural alignment.
- Analyze HR metrics and trends to develop data-driven insights and solutions that drive continuous improvement.
- Promote a positive, inclusive work culture by leading initiatives that enhance employee engagement, retention, and overall employee experience.
- Provide guidance and resolution on employee relations matters, ensuring alignment with North American employment laws, internal policies, and Banyan values.
- Support the full talent lifecycle, including performance feedback, coaching, and development planning.
- Collaborate with the Total Rewards team to ensure competitive, equitable compensation and benefits practices across North America.
- Support M&A activity within the region, including HR due diligence and post-acquisition integration efforts such as change management, organizational design, and communications planning.
- Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws and regulatory requirements in partnership with legal and compliance teams.
- Mitigate HR-related risks and uphold high standards of data privacy, confidentiality, and governance.
- Actively contribute to HR projects and the ongoing evolution of HR practices, tools, and systems, with a focus on scalability and operational excellence.
Qualifications for Success
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 7 years in a Human Resources Business Partner or equivalent strategic role, with demonstrated experience supporting US-based organizations across multiple states; preferably within a multi-entity, shared services, or high-growth environment.
- Professional HR certification (SPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) is strongly preferred.
- Broad and deep knowledge of HR disciplines, including compensation, talent management, organizational development, employee relations, and employment law.
- Demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution across multiple HR functions.
- Proven success navigating complexity and ambiguity in a fast-paced, evolving organization.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with a high degree of discretion, diplomacy, and influence.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a data-driven mindset.
- Deep understanding of confidentiality, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance in an HR context.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and familiarity with HRIS and talent management systems.
Pay
The expected base salary for this position is: $160,000 - $180,000 USD and excludes annual bonus and equity (when applicable). Salary is based on a number of factors including market conditions, location and may vary depending on job-related skills and experience.
