This HR Coordinator role is designed for someone launching their career in Human Resources. You will gain hands-on experience across multiple HR functions while working with a supportive team that welcomes new hires, streamlines operations, and enhances the employee experience. Responsibilities
- Support new hires and onboarding by working with Talent Acquisition to prepare for arrivals
- Schedule and run new hire orientations, serving as the welcoming first point of contact
- Maintain accurate employee records in Workday
- Coordinate first-day logistics such as laptops, badges, and desk setup
- Communicate with new hires to set clear expectations
- Assist with offboarding by preparing paperwork for departing employees
- Update employee status in Workday and assist with unemployment forms and inquiries
- Learn HR programs including FMLA, Disability, Fit for Duty, and related processes
- Review employee leave requests, gather required documentation, and maintain accurate leave records
- Coordinate communication between employees, managers, and HR during leave and return-to-work processes
- Secure and maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information
- Serve as a go-to HR resource by answering routine employee questions about policies
- Help ensure compliance with company policies and labor regulations
- Provide general administrative support to the HR team
Requirements
- High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field preferred
- Internship or campus work experience is a plus — training will be provided

- Strong communicator and team player
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Experience with Workday or other HR systems is a bonus
- Spanish language skills are a strong plus
