About the role

Brightview Care is a rapidly growing provider of in-home Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services for children with Autism throughout Michigan. We are seeking an experienced, organized, and customer-focused HR Coordinator to join our Human Resources team.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary HR resource for employees by responding to questions regarding policies, payroll, benefits, leave requests, timekeeping, employment verification, and general HR inquiries.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Build positive relationships with employees and leadership while providing timely, solution-oriented support.
  • Aid managers with policy interpretation and HR processes.
  • Prepare employment verification letters and other HR correspondence.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and HR communications.
  • Escalate sensitive employee relations matters to HR leadership as appropriate.
  • Maintain compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, DHWIN, payer, and company requirements.
  • Monitor employee compliance requirements, including CPR/First Aid certifications, RBT certifications, background checks, required trainings, and annual policy acknowledgments.
  • Track certification and credential expiration dates and communicate renewal requirements.
  • Conduct routine personnel file audits to ensure complete and accurate documentation.
  • Absorb internal, payer, and regulatory audits.
  • Maintain confidential employee records in accordance with federal and state regulations.
  • Maintain accurate employee records within UKG.
  • Process employee status changes, compensation updates, transfers, promotions, and terminations.
  • Audit HR data for accuracy and completeness.
  • Generate HR reports and workforce metrics.
  • Partner with Payroll to resolve employee record and timekeeping issues.
  • Support ongoing HRIS improvements and system enhancements.
  • Collaborate with Recruiting, Scheduling, Clinical Leadership, Payroll, and Operations to ensure smooth HR processes.
  • Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of Human Resources experience, preferably in healthcare or ABA.
  • Hands-on experience with UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group).
  • Strong working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, DHWIN, and healthcare compliance requirements.
  • Experience conducting HR audits and maintaining employee compliance documentation.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong customer service mindset with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • PREFERRED: Experience in the ABA, behavioral health, healthcare, or home health industry.
  • Knowledge of Michigan employment laws and HR compliance.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus.
