About the role
Providing in-home care services on weekends in the Rocky Mount area.
Responsibilities
- Follow client care plans and complete daily tasks via EVV or electronic timesheets.
- Assist clients with self-help activities such as bathing, grooming, ambulating, meal preparation (including special diets), feeding, and oral hygiene.
- Provide limited transfers using equipment like walkers and wheelchairs.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and infection-controlled environment.
- Perform secondary tasks such as laundry, cleaning, grocery shopping, and meal prep as needed.
- Respect client confidentiality and privacy, and adhere to scope of practice.
- Monitor client conditions, notify supervisors of any concerns, and ensure safety protocols.
- Assist with self-administration of medications without direct administration.
- Report any abuse, neglect, or unsafe conditions immediately.
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma preferred; ability to read and write required.
- At least 6 months of validated caregiving experience.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Ability to follow instructions, utilize safety and infection control procedures, and provide compassionate, quality care.
Accountability
Reports to the Home Care Manager regarding client care and to staffing managers for staffing issues.
