Home Care Aide - 6 Months Experience Required

About the role

Personal Care Aides provide essential in-home care to clients, following individualized care plans and ensuring safety and dignity.

Responsibilities

• Follow client care plans accurately and complete daily tasks via EVV or electronic timesheets.
• Assist with personal care such as bathing, grooming, ambulation, and feeding, including special equipment use.
• Encourage client independence and self-help activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and adhere to infection control and universal precautions.
• Perform secondary duties like laundry, light cleaning, grocery shopping, and meal preparation as needed.
• Respect client confidentiality, privacy, and rights, providing quality, scope-appropriate care.
• Monitor client conditions, report changes or concerns immediately, and notify supervisors of safety or environmental issues.
• Assist with medication self-administration, without direct medication administration.
• Report suspected abuse, neglect, or unsafe conditions promptly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred; ability to read and write required.
• Minimum of 6 months caregiving experience validated through references.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Strong communication, observation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow instructions, maintain professionalism, and ensure client safety.
