About the role
Provide in-home care services to clients, primarily on weekends in the Rocky Mount area.
Responsibilities
- Follow individualized aide plans and complete daily tasks via EVV or electronic timesheets.
- Assist clients with self-help activities and provide basic personal care such as bathing, grooming, ambulation, and meal preparation, including attention to special diets.
- Utilize safety precautions, infection control procedures, and proper equipment like walkers and wheelchairs.
- Perform secondary tasks such as laundry, cleaning, grocery shopping, and meal prep as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and report any hazards or changes in client condition.
- Respect client confidentiality, privacy, and rights, ensuring quality care within scope of practice.
- Assist with medication self-administration and report any abuse, neglect, or unsafe conditions.
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma preferred; ability to read and write required.
- Minimum 6 months of validated caregiving experience.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Strong communication, attention to safety, and ability to work independently.
Accountability
Reports to the Home Care Manager and staffing supervisor, adhering to policies and procedures to ensure client well-being and safety.
