Role Overview: Provides comprehensive patient care in a high-risk cardiology unit, managing complex cardiac conditions such as CAD, HTN, arrhythmias, heart failure, and post-procedure care. Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team including Hospitalists, cardiology consultants, residents, and interns to deliver safe, patient-centered care. Key responsibilities include: Developing, implementing, and documenting individualized care plans aligned with standards of nursing care.Educating patients and families on illness management, medication administration, and post-discharge needs.Promoting patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance through active participation in professional development activities.Assessing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences and cultural values.Utilizing critical nursing skills to evaluate and respond to patient conditions effectively. Qualifications include an RN license, with a Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree; Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience requirements are flexible, with a preference for those with at least 2 years of relevant experience. Certifications in BLS, ACLS, and extensive EKG training are required.
