Role Overview

Provides comprehensive nursing care in a high-risk cardiology unit, managing patients with conditions such as CAD, HTN, arrhythmias, heart failure, valve disease, and pulmonary hypertension. Collaborates closely with a multidisciplinary team including Hospitalists, cardiology consultants, residents, and other medical professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care within nursing standards.
• Educate patients and families on illness management, medication, and post-discharge care.
• Develop and document individualized care plans, ensuring effective communication across care teams.
• Promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance; participate in professional development activities.
• Use critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient values and cultural considerations.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum: Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree, RN licensure, no prior experience required.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing and at least 2 years of experience.
• Certifications in BLS, ACLS, and extensive EKG training are advantageous.
