About the role

The Registered Nurse in the High-Risk Cardiology unit provides specialized patient care for cardiac conditions such as coronary artery disease (CAD), hypertension (HTN), arrhythmias, heart failure, and post-procedure management.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver patient and family-centered care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Educate patients on illness management, medication, and post-discharge care.
  • Ensure patient safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and document individualized care plans collaboratively with the healthcare team and patients.
  • Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences and barriers.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of an RN license with a nursing diploma or associate's degree; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • No prior experience required; less than two years of experience preferred.
  • Certification in BLS, ACLS, and extensive EKG certifications are valued.
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and collaborative skills.
