About the role
The Registered Nurse in the High-Risk Cardiology unit provides specialized patient care for cardiac conditions such as coronary artery disease (CAD), hypertension (HTN), arrhythmias, heart failure, and post-procedure management.
Responsibilities
- Deliver patient and family-centered care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Educate patients on illness management, medication, and post-discharge care.
- Ensure patient safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and document individualized care plans collaboratively with the healthcare team and patients.
- Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences and barriers.
Qualifications
- Minimum of an RN license with a nursing diploma or associate's degree; bachelor's degree preferred.
- No prior experience required; less than two years of experience preferred.
- Certification in BLS, ACLS, and extensive EKG certifications are valued.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and collaborative skills.
