About the Role

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Health Care Technician (HCT) provides support to nursing staff by assisting with personal care, hygiene, and vital sign monitoring for patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintaining unit supplies, cleaning instruments, and documenting patient data accurately.
• Perform psychomotor skills such as measuring vital signs, blood glucose, and recording intake/output.
• Support patients with activities of daily living, prepare them for transport, and provide direct patient care including hygiene, feeding, and tidying rooms.
• Remove lines and catheters, monitor patients via video remote sitter technology, and troubleshoot VRS issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one semester of nursing clinical experience, recent CNA experience, or completion of relevant training programs.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days.
• Competency in vital signs, blood glucose, and patient safety procedures.
