About the role

The Head of Core C++ Low Latency Development / CTO position is available at a proprietary trading firm based in Chicago with offices in New York City and Miami. The firm specializes in algorithmic and high-frequency trading strategies across equities, options, and futures.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 10 to potentially 20 developers in core development tasks.
• Develop and maintain low-latency trading systems using C++.
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure the integration of trading strategies with market data and execution systems.
• Ensure the technical vision aligns with the company's strategic goals.

Requirements

• Proven track record in C++ low latency trading development.
• Experience leading software development teams.
• Strong understanding of financial markets and trading strategies.
• Excellent communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in high-frequency trading or similar environments.
• Experience with C++ and low-latency trading systems.
• Knowledge of financial markets and trading strategies.
