Job Summary
A proprietary trading firm with offices in Chicago, NYC, and Miami is seeking a Head of Core C++ Low Latency Development or potential CTO to lead a team of 10-20 people specializing in algorithmic and high frequency trading strategies across equities, options, and futures. Compensation ranges from $250,000 to $400,000 base with a bonus.
About the Role
The successful candidate will have a strong background in C++ low latency trading and will be responsible for leading a team of developers in building and maintaining the core trading infrastructure. This role also involves strategic planning and overseeing the technical direction of the company.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and maintenance of core trading systems
- Oversee the technical direction of the company
- Build and maintain high-performance trading algorithms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including traders, risk managers, and product development
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- At least 10 years of experience in C++ low latency trading
- Experience leading a team of software engineers
- Strong understanding of financial markets and trading strategies
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
