A proprietary trading firm with offices in Chicago, NYC, and Miami is seeking a Head of Core C++ Low Latency Development or potential CTO to lead a team of 10-20 people specializing in algorithmic and high frequency trading strategies across equities, options, and futures. Compensation ranges from $250,000 to $400,000 base with a bonus.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in C++ low latency trading and will be responsible for leading a team of developers in building and maintaining the core trading infrastructure. This role also involves strategic planning and overseeing the technical direction of the company.

Responsibilities

Lead the development and maintenance of core trading systems
Oversee the technical direction of the company
Build and maintain high-performance trading algorithms
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including traders, risk managers, and product development
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
At least 10 years of experience in C++ low latency trading
