About the role

The Head of Core C++ Low Latency Development / CTO position is available at a proprietary trading firm with offices in Chicago, NYC, and Miami. The firm specializes in algorithmic and high frequency trading strategies across equities, options, and futures.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 10 to potentially 20 people in core development
• Develop and implement cutting-edge C++ low latency trading strategies
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration of trading strategies
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Manage project timelines and budgets
• Guide the technical direction of the company

Requirements

• Proven track record in C++ low latency trading
• Experience leading a team of developers
• Strong understanding of financial markets and trading strategies
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in trading technology
• Experience with C++ and low latency trading systems
• Knowledge of financial markets and trading strategies
