About the role

The Head of Core C++ Low Latency Development / CTO will lead a team of 10-20 people specializing in algorithmic and high frequency trading strategies across equities, options, and futures. The position is based in Chicago.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of developers in the design, implementation, and maintenance of core trading systems.
  • Develop and maintain high-performance C++ trading algorithms.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration of trading systems with market data feeds and back-office operations.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the company's technology initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven track record of leading high-performing technical teams.
  • Extensive experience in C++ low latency trading environments.
  • Experience with financial markets and trading strategies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in software engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with C++ and low latency trading systems.
  • Knowledge of financial markets and trading strategies.
  • Experience with financial regulations and compliance.
