Head of Core C++ Low Latency Dev / CTO - Prop Trading - NYC

Job Summary

A proprietary trading firm based in Manhattan is seeking a Head of Core C++ Low Latency Development or potential CTO to lead their core development team. The ideal candidate will have experience in C++ low latency trading and will be responsible for leading a team of 10 to potentially 20 developers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of core trading algorithms and systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including traders, risk managers, and product development
• Ensure high performance and low latency trading solutions
• Develop and maintain technical standards and best practices
• Manage project timelines and budgets
• Guide the team towards meeting strategic business objectives

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Proven track record in C++ low latency trading
• Experience leading a team of software engineers
• Strong understanding of financial markets and trading strategies
• Excellent communication and leadership skills

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
• Experience with C++ and other low latency programming languages
• Knowledge of financial markets and trading strategies
• Experience with algorithmic trading and high-frequency trading

Benefits
