Job Summary

A proprietary trading firm based in Manhattan is seeking a Head of Core C++ Low Latency Development or a potential CTO to lead their core development team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in C++ low latency trading and experience managing a team of 10 to 20 developers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of core trading algorithms and systems
  • Oversee the implementation of high-performance trading strategies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including quantitative analysts, risk managers, and product managers
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Develop and maintain technical roadmaps for the trading platform
  • Guide the team towards continuous improvement and innovation

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • At least 10 years of experience in C++ low latency trading
  • Proven track record of leading high-performing software development teams
  • Experience with algorithmic trading strategies and market microstructure
  • Strong understanding of financial markets and trading regulations
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Experience with C++17 and beyond
  • Knowledge of trading platforms such as QuantConnect, Tradier, or similar
  • Experience with distributed systems and cloud infrastructure
  • Experience with data analysis and machine learning tools
