About the role
A trading firm in Manhattan, New York is seeking C++ developers for their low latency trading systems technology team. While prior experience in finance is preferred, the team is open to highly skilled candidates from outside the industry. Must have extensive experience with C++, including STL/Boost, Linux/Unix, and relevant technologies.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance trading systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including quantitative analysts, software engineers, and system administrators
- Implement and optimize algorithms for speed and efficiency
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of trading strategies and systems
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- At least 5 years of professional experience in C++ development
- Experience with low latency trading systems and financial markets
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience with high-frequency trading and algorithmic trading
- Knowledge of financial markets and trading strategies
