Full-Time Nursing Director

About the Role

Oversees the nursing department in a 192-bed skilled nursing facility, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards to provide high-quality resident care. Responsible for managing education, infection prevention, and wound care programs, and supervising nursing staff to maintain safety and care standards. Acts as a liaison with the interdisciplinary care team, residents, and families to address care concerns and develop personalized care plans. May assume charge nurse duties during emergencies.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) with current New York State licensure in good standing
• Supervisory or managerial experience in long-term or sub-acute care settings, preferably geriatric skilled nursing
• Wound Care Certification & SigmaCare experience a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (preferred) or minimum five years of supervisory experience

• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing needs
• Ability to train, evaluate, and guide nursing staff effectively
