Full-Time Nursing Director

About the Role

Oversees the Nursing Department in a skilled nursing facility, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards to deliver high-quality resident care.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop nursing staff through training, orientation, and performance evaluations.
• Oversee Education, Infection Prevention, and Wound Management programs.
• Coordinate infection control and wound care initiatives.
• Assist in care plan development for residents, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Supervise nursing operations, including staffing and safety practices.
• Communicate with interdisciplinary teams, residents, families, and guardians regarding care concerns.
• May assume charge nurse duties during emergencies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Current NYS RN license in good standing.
• Supervisory experience in long-term or sub-acute care settings; geriatric experience preferred.
• Wound Care Certification & SigmaCare experience a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (preferred) or 5+ years supervisory experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing needs.
