Full-Time Nursing Director

About the Role

This position is responsible for overseeing the Nursing Department at a skilled nursing facility, ensuring high-quality resident care in compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Organize, develop, and manage overall nursing operations.
• Supervise and evaluate nursing staff, ensuring proper safety practices and standards.
• Oversee Education, Infection Prevention, and Wound Management programs.
• Coordinate infection control and wound care programs.
• Assist in developing individualized care plans and consult with interdisciplinary teams and families.
• Assume charge nurse duties during emergencies as needed.
• Provide training and support to nursing staff, including re-education.

Requirements

• Current NYS RN registration in good standing.
• Supervisory or managerial experience in long-term or skilled nursing settings.
• Wound Care Certification and SigmaCare experience are advantageous.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (preferred) or minimum of five years supervisory experience.
• Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to work under pressure.
